In 1994, Superior Steel Components was formed to design, manufacture and distribute cold formed steel roof and floor trusses. The owners saw a pressing need in the commercial building marketplace for a product which was both flexible in design and fire-proof.

SSC grew from the Hager Group Companies, which were started in 1928 when Titus W. Hager founded the T.W. Hager Lumber Company in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Since then companies have continued to grow and enhance product and service offerings.

SSC has grown to be the nation’s leader in sales and delivery of cold-formed steel components.

SSC has multiple fabrication facilities strategically located throughout the United States in order to serve our customers in our ongoing effort to assist you in meeting construction schedule deadlines.
